Amazing Race
I'm going to come right out and say it... tomorrow is going to be EPIC. It's the Amazing Race!
We've got parents and leaders driving, there will be events of skill, speed, appetite, cunning and wonder! All in all, the night should take you around 3 hours. Make sure that you bring clothes appropriate to the weather, and some shoes that you can run in!
At the end of it, if your team is the fastest, there are 5 pairs of movie tickets + popcorn/pop up for grabs! There are also bonus prizes for best pictures, etc. So make sure to bring along your digital cameras!
You will be fed dinner during the amazing race, so you will not need to eat beforehand! The cost for the night is $10. You need to be there at 6 PM -- do not be late. Once the taskmasters have been sent out to set up their stations, teams will be formed, the rules explained, and you will be sent out on an awesome adventure. The night will wrap up at 10 PM and you should be back at the church by then.

Hi Everyone!

Then you're going to LOVE tomorrow night! We're turning the whole youth room into a canvas of awesomeness for your imagination. I'm bringing the crayons and the paper, you bring your imaginations and infinite possibilities.

Upcoming Amazing Race
Hello Parents!
I wanted to invite you to have a little more hands on experience with the youth this coming week. On Thursday night, the Senior High are having an Amazing Race around Abbotsford. There will be multiple stops with challenges at each one.
The event will be this coming Thursday, December 1st. We'll be running it from 6 PM to 10 PM.
This is where you come in. We are looking for drivers for the teams to 'taxi' them around Abbotsford for an evening. With around 30-35 people, we're looking for around 8 drivers. If you've ever seen the Amazing race, having a good taxi driver can make all the difference!
Additionally, we'll need a few people who are willing to be part of a puzzle. Present them with the riddle, and make sure that each group carries out the task properly!
If this is something you're interested in doing, please let me know! Even if you're only able to help for part of the evening, there is the possibility we could squeeze you in!
Thanks so much for the time you pour into your youth, it makes a huge difference!
Small Groups
Hi Everyone!
Hope your weeks are going well, we're almost at Christmas! I missed most of the snow last week... But it's a new week, and all I get is rain!
This week is our last Small Groups before Christmas. That means it's a great time to get together with your groups and have all sorts of festive times! We'll be doing things a bit differently this month. The girls will be meeting at houses around town, while the boys are meeting at the church. So make sure you read carefully!
Tonia and Elisa's group will be meeting at Tonia's house. If you live on this side of town and need a ride, have no fear! Elisa can be at the church for 6:30 so you can catch a ride with her. Just let her (or me) know, so we can have it arranged! Come prepared for Christmas Cookie Baking, Decorating and other festive times! Check your e-mail for the address, or contact me directly.
Ruth and Amber's group will be meeting at Ruth's house. Again, if you need a ride out to Ruth's house, we will have rides from the church at 6:30. Let me or Ruth/Amber know if you'll need a ride! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to give Ruth a phone call on her cell. Call me for contact information or the address if you need it!
Cory's group will be meeting at the church.
Dennis' group will also be meeting at the church!
Things will be wrapping up at the usual time, 9:30. So if you (or your youth) is at a different location than the church, please be sure to be there around that time to pick them up!

Late-Nighter
Hello Everyone!
I'm back from vacation, and SUPER looking forward to this Friday night. You read that right, there is NO youth tomorrow (Wednesday). We're moving youth to Friday so we can stay up late!
Starting at 6:30, the regular time, come to the church prepared for an awesome night of awesomeness! There will be sugar, slurpee's, Twister's Gym, a movie, running around, games! Oh my! Don't forget to bring some active clothes, and some PJ's for the movie time. The cost for this evening? Only $10!
Parents, we will be starting at 6:30, and will be finished at Midnight. Please be at the church at Midnight to pick up your youth! I promise to not have them hyper for you, we'll work that out of their system earlier in the night.
It's going to be an AWESOME night! Don't miss it! Bring a friend!

Boys/Girls Night
Hi Everyone!
Pay close attention to this blog post, because tomorrow night is going to be different than normal! The boys and the girls will be meeting at different places, and doing very different things!
Girls: You will be meeting at Amber's place at 6:30 for a bonfire, smores and more night! You need to bring a flashlight, a blanket and a great attitude! Amber's place is located in the Mount Lehman area... so if getting there is an issue, please contact Tonia beforehand to arrange a ride. Please check your e-mail or contact me directly for directions/address!
Boys: We're going to meet at the church at 6:30 PM. And you need to bring $4 with you. We're going to head to a driving range to hit some balls (bring some clubs if you'd like!), and then we're heading over to Dennis' place for a fire and some goodness!
After the usual youth activities, Dennis will be hosting a sleepover at his place for the remainder of the night. Cory and Dennis will both be there for the night. You can expect some video games, a movie and lots of snacks.
Parents, if your youth is attending the sleepover, pickup time is 11 AM. If you're looking for directions/address, please check your e-mail or give me a call!
If your youth is not going to attend the sleepover, I will drive the van back to the church for 9:45 PM tomorrow night for pickup.

Foundations: Self-Image
It's Tuesday... which means it's only one more day before YOUTH! It was a ton of fun last week playing minute to win it. You all did awesome!
Tomorrow we're having our monthly Foundations. It's a time to look into some questions that you might be having and see what the Bible has to say about it! This month, we're talking about our Self-Image.
What is it like when I look in the mirror and don't like what I see? Or if I'm not happy with who I am? We're going to take a look into the Bible and see what God has to say about who you are, and have some discussions about what that might mean for us!

A reminder that tomorrow night we've got Video Games LIVE at the church! We're going to be putting our virtual skills (or non-skills) into real-world use. I promise some Angry Birds and plenty of other fun things! So bring your thinking caps, your bird throwing abilities and see what you can do!
